In this series, I explore the sensation of the in-between, liminality, and experiencing feelings of homesickness, displacement, and impermanence. Through photographically documenting aspects of my Erasmus exchange period, playing with layout and narrative, I concluded a series that personally explores my experience with feeling in-between.

I studied BA Photography in Birmingham City University, as part of the Erasmus+ Programme. To consolidate my final project, I conducted a site specific public installation of my work. I installed the photographs I had taken, dealing with liminal space and the sensation of being in-between, in the elevator in my block of flats. I asked those using the lift to take the photos if they would like; to share temporay journeys. This release of my conrtol over the images, and the acceptance of their temporary nature was an important moment in my practice.
